Frage von hhjbauer:Hello,
I work with PE in the first place my maximum 30-minute video, which I with my miniDV camera SonyDCR-TRV30 took.
To my following questions pointed me to the Adobe support s.den technical support, but I do not s.Telefon synonymous could help. Rather, he advised me that my problems in the Adobe forum to clarify - this of my knowledge of English, unfortunately, not enough!
For the recording on DVD, I am interested in the following:
1. What bit rate should be applied when the best possible
Quality is trying to achieve? Should it then 8:00 Mbit / s or
or bring synonymous eg 6:00 Mbps good results without significant
Deterioration?
2. How can I output to DVD at the 2-pass procedure in
built in encoder settings?
I already have several forums and help files, but unfortunately no answers found.
Thank you in advance for their support.
Greeting hhjbauer

Huh? Obviously, here None Adobe Premiere Elements. Incidentally, I do not synonymous. Presumably, the in 2-pass encoding is not possible. Either you use this, an external encoder or you enkodierst with constant bitrate. Here you can accept the proposed take over 8000 kbps (6000 kbps likely, depending on the source material, too little to be). The advantage when in 2-pass encoding is holding, that the bitrate according to the (more or less complex) picture content is distributed (eg, quiet scenes require less bit rate than scenes with a lot of movement). When 2-pass procedure that, the encoder then synonymous the bitrate field (by specifying the minimum, average and maximum bit rate) within which he will vary the bitrate (eg 3500/6500/8500 kbps).

To this I would have said, try it out. This question can not reply to a flat rate, because the result is not only the bit rate, but synonymous with that of compressed material depends (usDetailreichtum and movement of a recording).

This question can not reply to a flat rate, because the result is not only the bit rate, but synonymous with that of compressed material depends (usDetailreichtum and movement of a recording). Hallo Markus, ich hab `s obviously already tried. On my fairly simple material, I have the DVD s.PC not yet on the TV between 6 and 8 Mbit / sec can recognize substantial differences. However, I have the impression that the encoding at 8 Mbit / sec is much longer.
In the Slashcam Workshop on 20.12.04 will indicate that the encoder provided in PE through an integrated 2-pass VBR quality data would provide for DVDs. In the window "DVD recording" I can only modify the bit rate, an adjustment for 1-pass or 2-pass VBR I do not see. The technical support of Adobe could not inform me about this type!
It is, I noticed that the progress bar at the window "Progress of the DVD recording" in Comparison to other encoders, the encoding before Abchluß shortly before the end of a very long wait, but the burner is still active. Could it be that during this long break of the 2nd Passage is encoded?
Viele Grüße Heinz

On my fairly simple material, I have the DVD s.PC not yet on the TV between 6 and 8 Mbit / sec can recognize substantial differences. That I thought fast. Mach doch mal an experiment with complex material (say, detailed images and a lot of movement). Then you get a feeling for when the template with 6 Mbit / s is applicable and when it is with 8 Mbit / s should be.
Your question ( "Can it be that during this long break of the 2nd round will be encoded?"), I can not answer you. Ultimately, playing for the quality of the result does not matter synonymous. ;-)
Antwort von hhjbauer:
Hello,
I have been in various discussion forums on Premiere Elements 2.0 Advice sought and even tried different synonymous. I am on the following interim conclusion:
1. At issue on "DVD recording" brings an attitude with 7 Mbit / s is already a very good video quality, synonymous with complex material.
I suspect that while the 1-pass procedure and with CBR is recorded.
2. An MPEG2 file with 7 Mbit / s, CBR, Quality 5, after my experience the same quality. If I file this as a new Project in PE import, it will be before burning again encoded, resulting in a substantial deterioration in quality. It is unfortunate that an already implemented PE coding does not recognize (I once had a different program, which thus had no problems).
3. A question s.Kenner of the new Premiere Elements 3.0:
Is the procedure for the establishment of DVDs there as well as inflexible in point. 1 above?
Thank you in advance and many greetings
Heinz

I suspect that while the 1-pass procedure and with CBR is recorded. Whether or not a DVD-Video CBR or VBR-compressed MPEG2 contains, you can see s.DVD player ... at least if you play while the bit rate can be displayed.

Hi Markus,
I have a 4 (!) years old of Pioneer DVD player that can unfortunately not the bit rate can be displayed.
Where can I find out how the new Premiere Elements 3.0 of the encoder for burning of DVDs can be hired?
Many greetings
Heinz
