Infoseite // Black bars after importing a PSD menus at EncoreDVD

Frage von EncoreDVD-User:

... As the title says ... I have a predetermined menu of EncoreDVD in Photoshop and opened my menu completely identical with the of EncoreDVD adjusted. Still appears in my menu on the left and right black bars respectively. In the case of the EncoreDVD not? Pixel ratios, levels, etc are all the menu EncoreDVD adjusted.
Would really glad to have help.

Antwort von Markus:

Does Encore perhaps PSD files with 768 or 1024 pixel width (4:3 / 16:9) instead of the usual video section 720 (related to PAL DVDs)?

... is just a poking in the fog, I would no Encore. ;-)

No, unfortunately this is not the right solution ... :-(
As I said when I get a menu EncoreDVD suppose that is exactly the same pixel width settings as my own, then you get the menu without borders. On my own will appear in the DVD preview of this EncoreDVD not even mouse-over buttons that could not otherwise see. I'm stumped ... But what struck me is what might help: When I finally a video in uncompressed MAGIX totally exported and imported in EncoreDVD did (it was synonymous correspondingly large), appeared in the video synonymous left and right these bars ... If I find it quite normal but as a DV-AVI export and import the video fills the entire screen, just as it should. What now?

Are you sure that the correct pixel aspect ratios?
In Photoshop (s.CS) when you can create a new file already below choose PAL 720x576 widescreen video ... this is the right one. Control the s.Besten everything again, I accepted it all correctly ...

So I have now done the following:

I'm in EncoreDVD there and have made a menu and opened it in Photoshop. Then I file information below and then have "Camera Data 2" nachgeschaut which Resolutionund pixel dimensions of this has given the menu. Then I opened my own menu and have the values were compared and it is clearly the same!

Pixelmaß x: 720
Pixelmaß y: 576
Orientation: Normal
Resolutionx: 72
Resolutiony: 72
Resolution Unit: Inch

The only thing that changed, if I have a predetermined menu EncoreDVD open in Photoshop is that duplicated those green lines appear, one under View -> Show Tools and from can. This is with my own menu, but not so, there appear these lines do not synonymous when I hook the set under Tools. Nor can I in my menu, no hooks for pixel aspect ratio correction ", since this option is grayed out. In the menu, I can Encore das
Could it be that I get this menu is not directly created in Photoshop, but that is a BMP file exported from my editing program is? (The Resolutionist but the same as the movie: 720x576). In my film was in fact a body that is particularly good as the menu would fit, so I just took this job as a BMP Picture exported (of course with the same Resolutionwie my film) and multiple layers in Photoshop made for the menu options and the whole then as a PSD file stored ...

Otherwise, I do not know what I should even try. I hope this info helps you and especially s.Ende me! :-)

Yes, sorry :-)

So I just heeded your tip and have the whole thing all over again simply re-created in Photoshop. I have said Resolutionvon 720x576 selected and behold: It looked exactly like at a predetermined menu:-D Even the guides were there this time. Then I imported it into Encore and look again: No more black bars ^ ^

Thanks for the tip
