Newsmeldung von slashCAM: Essays: Blu-ray vs. HD-DVD - There can be only (k) a type of winner rudi - 8 Jan 2008 23:06:00 > When you look at the (of course, Warner hoped) to media reports, the death knell for the HD-DVD now surprisingly quickly dropped. But the Blu-ray disc really savor their victory may be?

You do not happen to have HD-DVD player rumstehen now suddenly nothing is more valuable?
Finally, you can use a HD movie with a little compression synonymous Can comfortably on a DL-DVD people. That is what I wanted but not on a FullHD must see ;-)
about 5 cents / GB DVD, 17 cents / GB hard drive, 28 cents / GB Blu-ray Perhaps the beginning of 2009 will cost a Blu-ray disc only 3-4 ¬ ier, not cheaper than DVD, but then a lot of fun when you burn DVDs of 5-10 while so many a pleasurably a BD burns.
Who makes the race, I am no preference, it is important that a breakthrough format creates. But Microsoft will lose to make it synonymous fun * lol *
Nix for ungut but I may be your thoughts in this article does not fully agree!

So, here it exaggerates a bit and makes only the BluRay bad.
Yes, the stand-alone players are more expensive ... but still sell BluRays better and the time is now a fact which nobody can deny.
And yes, it was only later features such as Picture in Picture added ... but BD-Live (profile 2.0) was already very well known that this would come. Comparison of HD-DVD, it is simply optional. A film with BDLive may s.einem older players are, you simply can not download new content.
And also is the BluRay in terms of space and data transfer rates better.
Moreover, it justifies the decision only from fear of downloads. Much more important is the higher profit, the studio promises, if the format war is decided, because only the customers buy.
I would welcome it if such decisions had been taken more.

I would welcome it if such decisions had been taken more. Yes, they did not. Sometime avenge the flat. There are already very good solutions to the 100, - Euro with which HD content can save and watch. I have as the primary interest videographers,
my movies in HD to store and play back. At Blue-ray or HD-DVD that I have to make an optimal burner and a player to buy Standallone including all restrictions. This train is for the industry, certainly for me, though. I buy the crap no more, unless it is me in two or three years in the junk box afterwards thrown. Winners are responsible for me hardware a la Media Player Dvico Tvix or Zyxel DMA-1000 in conjunction with an external disk.

I understand the connection between BluRay and PS3 somehow not: I have a PS3, but not to play and to watch movies (a DVD player replacement power would be what I want to have more exiting and no Cell processor - ok, you can incidentally a few protein folds can be calculated, while watching movies :-). Why the success of the console so any film studios from? The games could theoretically yes of the enormous space of Blu-Ray will also benefit - as it is my preference rather no, what the film studios (the console I do not in any event for movies).

I only agree.
Antwort von Axel:
In my immediate friend circle is the switch to HD-TVs almost entirely complete. Even my brother abstinent technique, the time of his life no answering machine, let alone a cell phone had a bought: Because there are no new tube devices were more! There is agreement that the flat, elegant sets synonymous with normal program better image quality (I know, there is a camp of the tube-like fans who would argue that this view is mistaken, but it is smaller).
My colleagues and I on the other hand, are of technology enthusiastically. All of them have HD cams. None of an HD player. The cost-benefit accounting is simply not yet. If Blu-ray or HD-DVD distributed, one would like his works in the best standard to pass, but there is no need.
Even when "moments for eternity," wedding films, which themselves cost several hundred dollars, the incentive for these higher resolution to appoint equal to zero. The HDV tape in the cabinet meets the people as an option for the future, without Enthuisiasmus.
Blu-ray came too late, it will never be the presence of DVD market reach, because if this is outdated, I agree to my outpost, there is already synonymous to the Blu-ray successor. A storage disk, among many, dust catchers in the era of super-fast cable transmission.

perhaps the word stands. As a long-term storage is not synonymous BluRay much of the catastrophic long-term properties of a DVD differ. Apart from that: it's probably very unlikely that the "negative development" on the Music CD-sector is not just synonymous to the video sector again.
Axel's experiences, I can only emphasize pig has no interest s.hochaufgelösten video content if they century events. On DivX or mpeg4 other recoded, which with conventional DVD players can be enough and everyone is happy. Probably because it is in such videos more on the content and less important that you have every freckle and every hair can recognize.
