Hi,
So I turn since a few days with the HM700 my new cut and technique tutorials.
It is a very ingenious camera, the Viewfinder, the Picture, einfach toll. It is characterized by the Andockrekorders on SxS SxS Cards in MP4 format. Parallel to the SDHC card either as synonymous or as MP4 MOV.
I wrote a MacBookPro and MOV can be read and thus directly into the timeline set. Furthermore, I have a AVID Media Composer 3.5, which reads the MP4 directly, and using the 2.5 browser SonyClip everything I can to convert MXF files and in my AVID Liquid process.

I've now had a chance to shoot with both of them and I have to say they both perform very well, but there are pros and cons to each.
Canon 14x4.4 Pros:
* Slightly resist than the Fujinon 17x5
* Very sharp and virtually zero CA in the circle of least confusion or long end of the lens
Canon 14x4.4 Cons:
* The lens Breath's a lot s.the wide end
* CA very visible in the corners wide s.the end
* Flimsy plastic ring macro button that has some give and take which affects the back focus
Fujinon 17x5 Pros:
* Long range zoom
* Excellent sharpness corner to corner (approaching 900TVL)
* This is a $ 3500 lens so it a great value to get it bundled with the camera
Fujinon 17x5 Cons:
* Not quite s.wide s.the Canon 14x4.4
* Breath, but not s.much s.the Canon 14x4.4
