will be used.
We work with Final Cut Studio 2
MacBook Pro 2.2 GHz / 4GB Ram
ext. hard drive via FW800
Matrox MXO2 will be purchased
Full HD LCD is available
Next week will give us the
SonyEX1 / 3 and the JVC GY-HM700 presented.
Are there any of you experience with the interplay EX1 / 3 and Final Cut Pro?
About accessories recommendations (tripod, lights ....) I would be delighted.
Our price range is around ¬ 10,000 (for a complete package)

With an EX3 sure you are well served - but Sony has Especially Prices increased in Germany and it is good 8k ¬ (incl. VAT) to invest. If you do not need Exchangable optics and on a few interfaces renounce it, then reaches a EX1 ¬ 6k for about the same picture quality. However, the viewfinders on the EX1 is not so high and it takes but the better Ausklappmonitor. The form factor is not so practical because they are not readily get on the shoulder.
From the JVC camera, I would still refrain, as it has twice the power, an internal fan has, after 9000h must be maintained and is less Light sensitive. Before these tests do not disprove prejudices, I would at least wait.

So with other words: If you look at the Camera 1 year, switched, then it must be due to the maintenance of the fan. Uses but only once every 2 days for say 3 hours (which is probably real), then considers the 16 years. So this can surely be no reason ....
And of course, a camera with fan already s.sich is a joke:)
So please think times before denounced alleged disadvantages are ....

If I have a fan in camera thinking, then begs me:
- What happens if the fan fails prematurely?
- Why the electronics is so inefficient and power hungry that they need at least 22W, even though 3 years old competing models such as the EX1 just half need!
My conclusion: More lug shorter standby time and a possible source of error by fan failure.

Wait pays off in my opinion, only if the next significant price falls. In addition, you must be clear what functions / features you have in previous models missing. Personally, I would be an AVC-camera, on the cheap SDHC card records, dear. Currently, there are semi-segment but only the Panasonic HMC-151, but neither the optical nor the processing of s.eine EX1 / 3 comes out.
To be honest, "suffering" but every critic of HD cameras at a very high level. To me the quality of the Canon HF100 thrilled and I can not picture a HF100 of a PDW700 differ. Of course, the handling of a modest HF100 and especially lacking a real wide.
What I'm saying is: Should Sonyein successor model in Semiprofiklasse of tapeless cameras out, so I see little room for improvement. The next step would be for me AVC recording in 1080 with 50p to SD Card - but the Sony is certainly not in the next generation to bring out - and certainly not with SD cards, while there is still Sony's Memory Sticks are:)

The variable frame rates, the lowlight behave the manual setting possibilities, which are objective, rapid transfer to the computer, etc. etc.
I still hold hope (like most here) that I am on the 35mm adapter that I can do well in every second to take up spinning.
I think I hold that the current boom s.adaptern and the new developments (see 5D and RED) synonymous sony, panasonic and co aufgerüttelt and are similar to the market.
