I am looking for a convenient way to use my notebook as a VCR. Now I wonder if it is synonymous possible to create this card without a TV, while I think television directly to the notebook subscribe, the way you stop a DVD recorder, etc. followed.

You'll get the AV signal from the Television ONLY via a converter (read: TV card / external module) and USB or Firewire to your notebook.
