Hello,
I would like to see now, after long deliberations buy a new cam.
I know there are already many threads in which to purchase advice is asked, but I would be very grateful if you give me some cameras would recommend.

Depends on the type of camera on.
For example, the HDV is not as big a problem.

eine freundin panasonc the 500s and the quality of my HV20 has brought them to howl. I would offer cut-dv remained hätt I bought the panasonic, Now I am very happy for me to have decided HDV! HV20 and a good external micro-leaves no wish open.

The HV20 is synonymous accessory shoe, but no focus ring.
The gs500 has no headphone jack, there are DIY solutions with small cable clutter.
And the GS500 can not HDV - I was the knockout criterion.
In addition to the price of the HV20 at the moment ...

So, 760 ¬ for the Camera + 115 ¬ Raynox HD-6600 + 100 ¬ Rode Videomic're still under 1000 ¬ and without wide-and noise problems (Macken the HV20)

Have plenty of film material at fxsupport.de or hv20.com (among others) in order for you to be able to decide for himself whether the quality is good or not.

with the HV20 in DV, you can still 4:3 mode synonymous record - but I would not do it all in HDV 16:9

've now established a very detailed conversation with the very friendly seller my Panasonic NV GS 500 purchased.
I had the HD material is not always with my Adobe Premiere 6 can cut that I had not upgraded my computer to a HD ready Television is synonymous and synonymous absent not planned to buy one.
Also I liked the Canon HV 20 are not optical.

The technical differences between the European and the North American HV20, you can quite easily on the respective homepages Canon reference. In principle, they should rely on the recording frequencies: 60i/30p/24p in the U.S., 50i/25p here. For the rest, probably the downscaled output once DV NTSC and PAL are made once.

Yes, you can record HDV and then export as DV, but only true 16:9. But this should not be a problem if you want 4:3, because all you need is the clip "cropping".

I now have the HV20 and brought a little played. The picture quality is well and happy s.XM1 ran, which I had often since. More will be revealed shortly. The whole section is pretty small built, but maybe it's not so bad, at times synonymous spontaneously etws filming.

Very nice, I think the side effect that I have all my digicam filter (via adapter to 46mm) for the partial use - hence, the shopping sometimes unnecessary ;-)
