Frage von fotoralf:The problem occurs here at a GS400 on, but probably in the form on all camcorders are true:
Normal DV dubbing of a tape in the calculator via firewire works fine.
But in the attempt, Hi8 video on the camcorder as an A / D converter in the calculator to play - what is yes in principle - I stumble in iMovie on a problem: The "Import" insists the camcorder to playback mode switch. And then lies on the DV-output no longer hold the Hi8 video input signal from the input signal but the playback of the inserted tape. The attempt to simply refer to the tape, means that all drive control buttons along the button "Import" in iMovie is no longer activated.
On Final Cut Pro does it all the way, if the capturing of "Firewire control" to "non-controllable Divide" converter. Is there something similar in iMovie?
What to do?
