Tagchen everybody,
I've ne simple question I have bought a few months ago, the "Canon HG20" and am actually quite happy. But I would like to abuse my cam synonymous as a webcam ^ ^, I simply have no idea how to run the. 've Googled like mad and I only come s to an outcome -> TV card. Ok since I still ne old TV card (; Leadtek WinFast TV 2000 Expert hab), I've once again installed. But no longer have the originals Av adapter any more, but have a different user but I get this picture (; http://img145.imageshack.us/content.php?page=done&l=img145/8944/image08102323svideo.jpg&via = mupload). Did Although s bissl s.den settings of the camera rotated but it is only n bissl better. My question is what is available for options and opportunities. Thanks for any help
PS: Please do not buy with the comment webcam! come, thank you, please!

The reason? AVCHD camcorders do not offer video streaming via USB, which is for the use of a webcam, but a basic requirement. ;)
Some MiniDV camcorders are for your resolve most cogent, very well suited.
If the camcorder is operated in the recording mode, the hard drive runs constantly with. Furthermore, the device switches to the Idle if nothing is done it (, if that is so synonymous in network operation, is safe) in the manual.
The hard drive now, I would not want to risk really - there would be a real webcam but much less complicated.

And since my camcorder has ne good frame rate, I thought why not.
Oh, and I turn off the standby mode!

properly GERMAN - then come back into the forum!
The frame rate is synonymous only 25 frames / s and the resolution of the AV-out to only 720x576.
A webcam with bsw. 1280x720 gives you much more and as a TV card is not necessary for synonymous.

If you turn your cam s.der TV card, did you have to somehow be able to stream the Picture yes - otherwise nothing will happen. A webcam would be much easier to handle.

Synonymous olle I use my Panasonic DV as a webcam. To me, I have this very cheap USB video capture card purchased:

This device can be declared in all the messenger programs as a webcam. Habs with Skype, Yahoo and MSN tried. Has always worked.
Ne second option would be to take a DV camera as a webcam with this software:

This free tool allows you to connect the camera via FireWire. The software that must run continuously in the background, probably expecting the data in any way small.
Normally it's not possible to declare a connected FireWire camera as a webcam.
In any case, one must then only in the respective messenger program Splitcam "Specifying a video source, and then it synonymous funzt.
Unfortunately, the operating window of the software is always slightly greasy ne Advertisers fade - but it isses free.

2) I do not count myself among those people of the forum, the easy times for no reason to break a fight, or simply provoke times. BUT: Here I must RickyMartini simply take time protection! You have written, although spectacular in your HP, you will hear nothing of "webcam", but if this is the only sensible solution, then they tell you that here in the forum, synonymous if you do not hear or read. RickyMartini gave you even more detailed explanation of why an AVCHD camcorder is inappropriate in this case, a webcam and you react immediately so unfriendly and value his comments as "incompetent"? There was nothing incompetent s.diesem comment, perhaps you know (; Analog your knowledge of spelling of the word) the importance of competence or incompetence, not quite? In any case, Ricky was such a provocative comment in any way that you'd only partly a reason, now react that way. An apology would be more appropriate than, otherwise you will not encounter much and competent help here in the forum. If you the "no preference", then should we be right. Is no preference .... but the record of the HG is anyway in a few hours there when the plate all the time or the write head is in standby and then cast the film with and webcam.
It is indeed synonymous with the people give up trying to shoot 50 caliber Goats hare.
Most Web cam chats eh swallow only 320x240 or 640x480

I think it has been entirely justified to take nen right camcorder as a webcam. Whosoever has ever tried will agree with me. The picture is (and despite much reduced resolution) is much sharper and more brilliant and has great colors. In addition, there is still such nice things like auto focus, optical zoom, manual aperture and adjustable white balance. Also, the folding screen is seen in this context as helpful.
What does a "normal" Webcam with all these features? ;-)
I'm really happy with my solution. My Panasonic has not said olle nen ebay value of about 100 euros ... to the converter for $ 20. For 120 - the euro is still vastly superior to any combination of such an expensive webcam.

Sure ne VideoCam is only because of the diameter of the lens better ..... a lot of models DCR Sonyhaben menu, the webcam function of time directly to Ebay .... schaun DCR-PC versions are recommended.

SonyDCR-PC101E, which can be exploited via USB as a webcam. ;)
With its AVCHD camcorder, the
Canon HF100 is not as readily available - in spite of USB.
Their way through a TV card nachwievor he considers to be far too complicated - this is only a maximum of PAL-out resolution.
