Since I have not long over, and if you cross a little bit and read around the forum, you will more often to encounter the same view: MiniDV is still the first choice, because the recording medium a very good compromise of quality, and handling costs represents. HDD camcorder may at first sight attractive, but in practice, the fun seems to be quite restricted.
