Whether MiiDV is dead is a matter of opinion. The industry would like, but all Nachfolgesystme still have their "teething problems", so that one example, not all formats can work with all programs equally well.
) For SD (ie simple television resolution, more of a DVD can not SOWISO would still range MiniDV always good.
A suggestion:
A camcorder, choose, select one of the Firewire (iLink, IEEE1394) output has, as a DVD recorder will take a with the same input. You can then quickly and burn of the camera without a PC on a normal DVD. The signal is transmitted digitally. In the case of DVD-HDD Recorders are even minimal Nachbearbeitungmöglichkeirten available.
This goes so MiiDV with camcorders or tape-based HDV camcorders (Canon HV20 / HV30). For tape-based HDV camcorders, I would advise you synonymous to back the old look of the defective miniDV tapes and still be able to edit.
To what extent to allow hard disks or a processing Speicherkartenbasierte camcorder without a PC, is beyond my knowledge. If in doubt, you can connect the analog output s.den input of the aforementioned DVD recorder. But then twice unötig material converted (digital to anaolog and back)
