I must soon filming a few scenes, is a kind of portrait of a company are. Since I am only an old SD Mini DV camcorder (Panasonic NV-GS 22) possessed, I thought I should maybe rent a better camera. However, I do not know what to recommend. I just want to have a good picture. Should I have a HDV camcorder, or something like SonyHDR-FX1 at the http://www.dv-kameraverleih.de/ to rent there. Can such a relatively fast camera off because I am with a camera so have not worked.
What can you advise me?

The fundamental question is whether an amateur who does not know whether it is for a corporate portrait, or the HV30 XL H1s to use, basically know enough of the matter, to the customers satisfaction. The camera work, the picture that is Tripod, the whole concept is just as crucial as the technology.
You will in any case previously with the camera company and have to read the manual. With both cameras. The HV30, I would not take, but perhaps the XH A1. How would you deliver? In HD or Pal? Do you do interior shots in difficult lighting conditions, or have you always enough light? Should good live sound will be, or is overdubbed?

I would quite like the film in HD output. I will be synonymous many interior shots have to do. The sound is not as important as dubbing.
Go to Project. It is not synonymous about a perfect promotional video production. But the images are simply better than with an SD camcorder and especially when no professional is Kameraman s.Werk. And there is exactly my problem. Can you with a CameraLink as the XL-H1s fairly quickly once owned and thus usable images, or is not recommended.

Your picture is in HD does not look better than SD. That will remain the same. Because you are not only changeable. If you are in SD shaky, shaky du synonymous in HD. The only difference is the resolution.
There is no camera, no preference how expensive or cheap, which you decline the work to deliver good pictures.

So XH A1 should be sufficient.
The XL series makes sense only because of the change of optics.
You can with both Camera series work well.
The use of tripod is recommended, but what the XL series is concerned - especially in this company / Project.
Picture moderately You searched for the two models actually "same" results.
So if you are in "Auto" mode film is intended to do nothing between the two models.
My recommendation - use the XH A1 - They will give you good services.
