Hello,
I had created 20 years a Video 8 CamRecord that no longer exists. Now I have to implement the existing cassettes to DVD and it can play in a synonymous of Panasonic digital recorder. These recordings are not cut, however, and I want to do this now. How does it work what I need?
PC Athlon 3000 + with 250 GB HD and 2 GB of RAM available. I just want to make simple cuts editing without much fuss. What software would be needed, suitable?

The condition is that it can import VOB files Alternatively, you can rename the dir of the hard drive copied Vob files synonymous adding the extension *. vob to *. mpg walkest (There is nothing else than the Mpeg2 format) . Then you import these files and they are cutting.
When are the Choice of the editing program on the basis of your processor and the lack of SSE2 and SSE3 commands the Programs Adobe Premiere Elements 2.0 and Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 EXCLUDED, as these two Programs necessarily presuppose these instructions.

what is the exact difference between MPEG and Vob? Is it any container format? VOB may contain multiple audio streams, even in Mpeg is not known to me .. is it because? Sure would be interesting not only for me info.

W. only for older Athlons. On recent premiere works just fine. Another condition is, however, WinXP (Win2k is not enough).
My suggestion for handling:
- Demux (= separation in Picture and Sound) with ProjectX or PVAStrumento
- Cutting in MPEG2Schnitt or Cuttermaran
- Authors in IFOEdit or GUI_DVDauthor
- Burn with any burning program
The above Programs are all Freware. The procedure does not require recoding, ie, the 1:1 image quality is preserved.

Hi,
as Dietl describes his system, he has an Athlon 3000 + processor (for the Socket A). This processor does not have SSE3 instructions, so the two aforementioned Adobe Scgnittprogramme not run on this calculator. The installation will be aborted with just this note.
Not so for the new AMD processors because they contain the relevant instructions. The new processors (for the Socket 754 and 939) but have the name AMD 64 3000 + (as opposed to Athlon 3000 +).
Whether the processor has the necessary orders, but problematic with a tool like ZPU-Z will be identified.
