Frage von swooby:Have a "RODE VideoMic" s.der Canon 7D and plugged the thing already runtergereglet-20dB (using the switch in the battery bay). Power, but the extreme noise nothing better. The built-in mic sounds better and noiseless. Have tried the Rode s.einem MINIDIS times and there is no noise heard. Is this now s.der 7D or what you think, what can I test yet or did you experience with this?

:-( system shut down the microphone if you even need the microphone of the 7d hochregeln the signal again, this is due to the existing noise mitverstärkt. regularly back up the micro and check the audio settings s.der 7d again, with more noise than the internal should really not be,
VideoMic the battery fresh?

"Check the audio settings s.der 7d"
I suggest is now time that you have no 7D, right?
as there is above all and that is unfortunately no audio adjustment options. but thanks for the other / first tip ...
other ideas?
Antwort von srone:
correct, that is, however, would have an incorrect setting of the input-gain (eg mic-att) synonymous here may provide too much attenuation, which is again only one more s.verstärkung can with just more than offset noise. ifs s.der 7d are set in this respect nothing is certainly the wrong s.mic switch or an empty battery or it is a hardware defect s.der cam or mic before.

Perhaps it is so synonymous s.auto-gain of 7D - if you record a strong signal, then the noise is still as strong?
You could even generate a test tone, which masked the frequency spectrum of the noise is not completely naturally and take these if the noise then just remain strong, it is not in my opinion by auto-gain ... but of your discerning ears :-)
Antwort von swooby:
Yes, yes, the Autogain seems a well-known and ignored problem of Canon as far as possible to be. Let's see, would something "pure of record" and a constant signal, then it will not simply synonymous allzu7 still perceive a noise. Thanks for the tip!

When I use the waves übereinanderelege or chemical (which produced, perfect, in audition and the canon from the recording 7d), this is almost identical. ERGO: AGC shit! Fully sinnfrei the thing and use no more than the recording in Wacken.
