Hello,
I have 3 days before the new Canon DC50 camcorder purchased.
Both in the Viewfinder, the display and on the recording, I noted the following color:
The recording of the video image recordings divided regarding Color performancein 2 halves (exactly 50%). The left page of the image provides slightly different color than the right half of the screen. Links Picture has a slight yellow tinge, to the right are the colors naturtreu. In good light conditions you can see the very low or almost not at all. This effect is increased, however, ever the bad lighting conditions.
I already have with different white balance, etc., as well as night program experimented. There are changes, but the root remains.
For photos on MiniSD Card, these differences are not observed.
Is my camcorder Canon DC-50 is defective?
I own a Canon still synonymous DC-20. Here is this deficiency can not determine!

Hi Ralf,
there is an HDV camcorder of JVC, where that split-screen effect is known. The problem arises in the case referred to two independently operating signal for the left and right half of the screen, as indicated by the high Resolutionund a Vollbildauslesung was needed.

I am really pleased that someone knows the problem.
That has really helped. I will be the first camcorder and back again with another Canon DC 50 test. If the effect is the same, I look again under a different model.
Is there in this price class (approximately EUR 650.00) better alternatives (not MiniDV)?

Incidentally, Canon has responded. The error of I described to include an electronic defect, not a model problem. I could camcorder Canon DC-50 against a completely new unit exchange.
