I have the last 2 weeks battled through the forum, but still can not agree on a green branch in my buying decision.

While the HV20 and HV30 a very good picture quality, it is in the HF10 still unproven. As before, I would start by a decision to wait until they s.Markt available. Alternatively, take a look at the HG10 throw - Picture is almost as good as HV20/HV30.
The other decision: HDV (tape) is still slightly better than AVCHD, but the problem of drop-outs with itself, the whole series of individual images and associated sound may damage. There is no problem of current HDV editing programs to work with.
AVCHD natively process can still almost no software calculator quick and even act slowly. Therefore we converted into intermediate formats, which can then be processed better. Advantage of AVCHD is the nonlinear work without tape, is simply straightforward. Disadvantage: while at the same HDV back to tape, you must be at AVCHD themselves to worry about backups, for example on hard disks.

Vice stimmts: A 1 / 3 ,2-inch sensor is smaller than a 1 / 2 ,7-inch sensor (one third of something is less than half of something). The Lowlightverhalten depends of several factors, but this can be simplified to say that a larger sensor - the same number of pixels - is light as a small.

So looks like there was, the HV20/30 (initially) the class with the cleanest picture.
