Frage von Premiere:Hello!
My old DV camcorder has run out so slowly and with a new one should be replaced.
In my short list is the Canon HV 20 and the Panasonic GS-500 arrived.
Currently I have a 32 "Loewe Aconda (CRT TV). The aim of this course by an LCD TV to be replaced.
Which Camera would be for my current television better?
For an HD Television is probably the Canon HV 20, the better picture production. But this is synonymous for my current television?
Do I have any recording before actually decide whether I would like to record in HD, or can I for example always in HD and s.PC (eg with Pinnacle) the picture on my television now "compatible" do?
With respect to HDTV, I know I am still not really out.
Maybe someone can give me more information so given.

You can quietly record in HDV, and then either the material of your camera and convert the same output in DV or HDV on the calculator and transfer of the software can convert to DV. The respective advantages and disadvantages of these methods you'll find also with the forum search a lot of information.

Is there a difference in the conversion of HDV to DV?
So put it another way: Is it better to record HDV and DV in order to spend it on the PC next to vera work?
Or should we record in HDV, then on the PC "dub" and then there on DV "Down reckon" leave?
Antwort von 2LTime:
The second option usually brings a better quality.

Hi, I'm new in the matter, so the following question perhaps synonymous only still unclear to me:
If I (still) no HD television but a HDV Camera possess, why do I still of HDV down to DV reckon? If I as an HD-DVD on the Television Watching, synonymous but everything works flawlessly!
Moreover, a decision may need me to restrict synonymous insofar as that I finished my film for friends and their HD Television synonymous only in the standard-resolution image can be ...
That somehow I can not imagine - I rather fear, because what I understand completely wrong ...

If you are in HDV filmed in HDV and then cut the video back to HDV camcorder back in the play, you can of it there to fit on SD or HD TV to play. (Of course you can synonymous the raw material directly after the recording to play, I always go only assume that one film cuts before they zumutet the audience.)
Converting to SD is only required if you recorded in DV format intersect want (for example, if your calculator does not cope with HDV editing) or if you want to burn normal DVDs.
