Bin total Greenhorn, which work with a camcorder, I normally synonymous, however, that I can incorporate intuitive (Macianerin). That probably says it all. But the Canon HV 10 is not intuitive. I'm looking for, synonymous after an unsuccessful trial of the instruction manual (the manual is short sinnigerweise in English) is the appropriate cable and the output s.Camcorders as well as the correct input for video s.meinem Mac. The Canon HV 10, no Firewire, so I ask anyway, how long will a 30-minute transfer of DV data should last. There is a USB cable while the Canon and its own software.
Can someone briefly and simply explain s.meinem where G5 is the right cable for video transmission of the data is and what kind of cable I of the Camera Calculator to use, so that the synonymous works. That would be so schööööööön.

You mean the 3 connector options (such as it is called but equal in the technical jargon?) Dre top is yellow and is called AV in / out in the middle component is out and the bottom is called HDV / DV. What do you mean like this? My firewire cable is much larger and fits in any case, since pure. A USB cable could be purely fit. Where and how ... synonymous just look again at Page 68 in Handbook of mac but is there goarnischt it, only PC.

Mus cable a 4 pin to 6 pin 1394 cable to the standard for DV cams.

Do I have the data yet on the camcorder somehow save or otherwise convert? I would not do just now, but have often pushed to read this, that one had to convert something.
I want to edit data in iMovie. Freu mich schon drauf. Can I import data then paste and then go?

Hello,
you can not say whether the HV10 s.MAC detected, put the DV output to DV and HDV do not check then check HDV setting.
Edius on a PC with no problem MAC absent.

I can only connect, you need a Fire Wire cable.
Myself, the Canon HV10 and a Mac.
Then you can return to work intuitively.
You open a new project in iMovie and the film is
loaded.
What has surprised me somewhat, is the large amounts of data
this is the ... about 1GB per minute.

Thanks for the tip. Did you not synonymous with firewire cable supplied? Then I will go run and get one. When Gravis or Saturn, it is probably the type. The data volume is enormous. Are you sure that you do not expect or even down to compress it? PCUsern come with the times just to 4MB in the amount of data and makes Final Cut Comparison 20 MB data volume. And that seems s.Sound and / or s.der preset for video quality, if they are to AAC is the amount of data is incomparably high. Something like I have just read, synonymous in this forum.

The amount of data on miniDV is almost 4 mb / s (almost exactly 3.6). When HDV is just much bigger. The data with the operating system has nothing to do.
Incidentally iMovie can handle the HDV synonymous. Why you should indeed synonymous otherwise HDV Camera to buy?

And, Bee: A Book about iMovie, and not only one with pictures, you should have to endure. As will be explained how the hardware is being forced, with the intuitive software to cooperate.

The data are just with a different codec converted and there is more work for your Mac.
Material should be 5 minutes for about one GB s.Daten result. iMovie works very well with HDV (not to be confused with HD or HDTV!)
