Frage von catwizzard:Hello everybody!
Have some time since the Canon HV 20, synonymous already recorded tape.
Well, I tried on the whole hard drive / PC or HD recorder to play, unfortunately without success.
Question: With the settings in the Play mode - Submenu Play / Off Setup 2, I have DV output "HDV / DV is set. However, in this sub-menu below generally "HDMI OUT" is displayed. I guess it just so icht works or it is a bug in the firmware is. 've Tried everything - with Component video out, Firewire. Nothing works.
Has anyone a similar experience or solution. (Except the unit back - that would be my last step!)
Second question. In the Bediensungsanleitung is something of "bands of protecting against accidental deletion - but not if you recorded tapes generally delete / format or can it only play the tapes over to work.
Thanks for your help / assistance in advance.
Gruss
Mick

... if you recorded tapes generally delete / format or can it only play the tapes over to work. This is general - ie for each computer - or HDV Camera - only with new dubbing. There is special equipment for so-called "fighting chokes", these are due to the high price but only in the professional environment.

For capturing on PC is probably only Firewire correct. It must not plug USB cable. Not very logical, but in CAMERA menu (!) In Rec / Input Setup under HD standard must HDV HDV recordings (or HDV 25p) to be set. AV / DV is set to Off (Play menu). Feedback Icon Male, HDV / DV "must come. Everything else is up to the editing software at recording.
The HV20 is (at least with PP) recording pause mode (in PLAY menu) for the return games on tape is not necessary.
Copying on a digital VCR: probably problems with the copy protection, may be synonymous with Component connection.

Now the original question :-)
Question: With the settings in the Play mode - Submenu Play / Off Setup 2, I have DV output "HDV / DV is set. However, in this sub-menu below generally "HDMI OUT" is displayed. I guess it just so icht works or it is a bug in the firmware is. 've Tried everything - with Component video out, Firewire. The menu DV output only decides whether the material which was recorded as HDV, HDV as synonymous output (Setting "HDV / DV") or whether a Downconvert to DV during playback is carried out (setting "DV").
Attempt but once on your PC with the capture feature of your editing software, the material with the Camera setting "DV" to capture. If it works, then perhaps you've added in HDV and your editing software or your HD recorder can not do so.
The recording mode do you incidentally in the recording mode in the Setup menu under "REC / ENTER SETUP"> "HD STANDARD" (possible settings: "HDV, HDV (PF25), DV WIDE" and "DV NORMAL" ) a.

Now the original question :-) The above question is already over (!), But someone had a completely different question posted in this discussion (in new thread moved). It appeared the above topic again.

Hi,
with me is a problem of the same nature occurred. Will the first time my newly installed Firewire use.
Detected my HV20 was only when I output to DV asked, just before I came, I pointed everything durchgekaut what s.Capturproblemen it still could be.
So, I want my HDV Recording (!!!) as a DV transfer, but I receive an error message Wied.gb SP-locked Wiedergb restricted. (SP-Wiederg. to DV, DV output, componnt out 576i).
When I play on SP-auto switch, I receive the error message is not, but Movie Maker and WinDV the material can not capture (no thumbnails, no transmission).
Is it basically because I need software that can capture HDV, synonymous DV if I only want to have? Is any other setting error?
My PC is not currently a lot of her, so it separates from the first HDV synonymous as such process.

Take HDVSplit to capture!

Hi,
because it is so directly synonymous as DV capture? How are already written my PC with a handle HDV just not her!
Maybe someone knows something more special than to capture DV with the HV20 and described my problem ....
