Infoseite // Canon MV 500i - dubbing of Mini DV to PC

Hi,

I'm absolutely Einsteigerin, own a Canon MV 500i and want the videos to play on the PC to edit it and burn to DVD. My PC (Windows XP) recognizes the camera at all. On the Canon site can I find synonymous no suitable drivers for this camera. Is this a problem for your camcorder model or there are other possibilities?

Drivers you need for a Firewire connection, not synonymous, and via USB you will hopefully have not tried? Here you'll find a detailed description, which should solve your problem:

The MV500i has no USB port, only DV IN which was then particularly ;-)
Drivers should in any event, as already said no special need. How exactly did you do proceed? With what program did you want the video to the PC to record?

Thank you for the answers! Unfortunately I'm still not arrived. With USB cable, I have not tried it of course (yes is synonymous of the Camera was not). Have a matching Firwire cable. Problem is and remains that my PC the new hardware does not recognize. As a program, I have Nero, previously I have tried with Ulead.
I am now in search of a shop, and I with both devices could go. What Nöthen + waves in Cologne. From her website, I have the impression that would have given me help you (my previous attempts in the Still Image and PC shop were unfortunately frustran).

You can see a DV camcorder synonymous in the workplace (Explorer, File Manager). And if not, then you work through this time:
