Infoseite // Canon XH-A1 recording on the computer ... But how?

Hello,

Bin recently the proud owner of a Canon XH-A1. Have been synonymous with their first shots behind me. Now I want them on your computer to use in the Post to edit or cut. That works, unfortunately, did not.
Is my first camcorder at such a high caliber and therefore do not know if I was wrong because what I do or whether a cable is missing or if I was setting there must s.Computer or because Cam.
What kind of cable I need?
With the Camera Two were included: a stereo video cable STV-290N and a Component Video Cable DTC-100.
Synonymous Have a FireWire cable lying at home.

Now I've been with all three cables tried, but s.Computer doing nothing ...

The manual is as
Open the menu and select [signal-setup]. Set [sdi-source] to [an].
But if I to VCR / PLAY menu to go there and then [signal-setup] where these settings are available:
° Time Code
° SP-PLAY.
° COMP. Ausg.
° AV> DV
° HD DOWN CONV
° LetterBox

Maybe you can write me what I am doing wrong or what settings and their cable übernützt ...

Hab grad rausgefunden that the SDI output only at the G1 is.

As I have my footage on the PC can do but I still do not.

Good.

Hab grad rausgefunden that I have with the FireWire cable is properly am. At one end there is 4pole s.andren 6 pole. The settings should be synonymous as far as I know correct. Have read that but as what you set s.Computer must / should / can the device so that it recognizes.
If any of you ever joined has something similar or perhaps could be anything but yes gmocht hobts.
I werd jetz moi Hondbuch the compiler of one study. ;)

Habs rausgefunden themselves.
For all the times the same problem:
FireWire cable to your camcorder and PC infections.
Reboot PC (cable remains connected) wait few minutes. And it works ...

pity for me it's not!
Windows XP.

Vegas Studio 8 says "preview is Disabled
the Picture of my popelwebcam goes.

Microsoft AV / C Tape Device subunit.

In the device manager looks good.
The Wheel is on the VCR / PLAY.

If I switch to EXT.CONT, we look for drivers for AV / C Camera Storage searched and not found. Guess times that the console application everything.

I rebooted the box already synonymous.

What's still to do?

What is the sound from your camcorder, you do it?
Oh and if you want to have a preview, then the camcorder synonymous play. That means you must either Premiere or s.Camcorders directly to the Play icon (left-facing triangle) button. To begin, you must then find the Record button (This is the red circle - in the editing program, not s.der Camera ;-)

Now s.camcorder first, then in the software. - It works out. However hjetzt with some thin stripes, is the cassette of the cheap or is simply s.der vorschau.?
I had yesterday at the JVC-mm 5 tapes for 12 eur purchased. probably are the nix. otherwise I have good panasonics who have been recommended (AY-DVM63PQ)

a propos laugh: have you noticed that since mid-June Grievous in this thread nothing more has been written?

Of the over firewire canon xh-related s.kann is synonymous
With the freeware HDVsplit Capture - has on an old computer it worked - for the ensuing. m2t - files need a lot of disk space + a video editing program that can handle HDV with ...
