I have with some of the canon, and then as my old sony with firewire on the pc on windows movie maker on plays,
well as the quality I had not been so great that
I therefore test purposes from the cassette from the Canon in the Sonyand again played on the pc and the quality differs little (not visible).
Do I something wrong or is the quality difference between the Picture of the Canon (about 1600 ¬) and the SonyDCR-PC6E (about 150 ¬)

Ps with the canon was even filmed in the frame mode!

As far as I understand you, you have a recording and the same 2 times on the PC is playing. 1 times with the XL1S and 1 time with the Sony. Sure, that you are on the PC will see no difference what you Capture is no preference.
You're disappointed with the picture of the XL1S and searched "even in the frame-mode" filmed. Hast du's quite normal interlaced with automatic setting probiert? The XL1S is not true progressive shots and interpolated in the "Frame Mode". The XL1S is already much better than the SonyPC6E, you can adjust a lot, but very much synonymous wrong.

The more preferences they have, without doubt, yes I did the synonymous times
normal interlaced with auto setting attempts.
Colors and lighting conditions, etc. are already a lot better in the canon,

SD material does not compare with HD material.
Properly managed, the Canon XL1S, but a very good camera.
That you are not a "true 16:9" may may well be a pity, however, is not a leg fracture.
