If the imagery of Full HD camcorders such as SonyHDR XR500VE
or better yet the will of a high-quality MiniDV like the Canon XL2?

Here in your initial question you compare apples with pears.

Inferior s.der XL2 is nothing. It provides excellent SD quality and is easy to use. Whether you need HD or not is another question ne. If your results are projected with a high resolution projector in large format, you need to include all cases of HD. The trend is towards synonymous HD. One of the XL2 equal HD camera is not cheap.
One of the benefits of the XL2 or HD XL H1 is the successor Exchangeable optics. However, the Lenses are very expensive. If you are not ready for Lenses draufzulegen again a few thousands, you're better off with a handle man to hire.

(At normal exposure, 1 / 50) are synonymous with motion blurred images as DV. HDV is as synonymous. Perhaps it falls on HDV anymore, because the images are much sharper.
I cut just one project in which 2 Canon XL2 and the successor to HDV XH A1s were used. The final product will be DV. The converted to DV recordings of the A1s are not worse than the XM2, but usually better. Also of moving making.

Premiere Pro 2.0.
The combination of 2 DV cameras for details and an HDV camera for the shot cut creates great opportunities. It is so flexible, as if you had not 3, but much more camera tracks are available. You can zoom factor of 4 to move and / or, and has so with the HDV camera always the optimal image. The workflow I've now pretty well under control. My PC does not (so much power, dual-core 2.2 GHz). I rendere the HD track with the whole section as a DV-AVI. With these 3 tracks I create the multi-sequence. About the multi-track HD is the original track. So I can cut zugüg Multicam, and change if necessary with the HD-trace the image.
