The A1 is a HD DV Camera and can not represent as good as the XL2 that can not HDV!
Purchase you the XH A1 then hast thou synonymous HD in the future!

XH A1 - is better than the XL2.
If you do in the telephoto range (ie at large distance) want to work rather then the XL2.
