Have to thank my two Canon XM 2, sometimes the problem that the images after the rotation are useless, the Picture rastert and the sound stutters. One sees on the tape corresponding damage - there were new tapes are used. Have the 1st Cam on this issue sent s.eine workshop, she was sent back, with the note that no error is found, that tape was "guilt". But can that be? New tapes can be damaged? It makes itself constantly mad, what if the pictures are - what if you only with 1 camera is filming, it is what is really important. For me it looks like as if the tapes Tonkopf the damage - can be something, who has similar problems and can help?

For really important recordings take no practicable XM2 ;-) That's exaggerated manner, but this is likely the Canon MiniDV - with the most sensitive ever to drive - alone, the losses due to the infamous "Remove the cassette" problem fill volumes. Even Sony tapes, in other camcorders uncomplainingly work, tend to be a happy XM2 recording errors. Hence the question: What cartridges do you use?

Hello and thank you first for the quick reply. I have actually SONY tapes. The other tapes are Manufacturer safer? I have this problem of useless recordings synonymous witnessed again today, but fortunately had a 2 nd Cam here. I now have a professional of Panasonic tapes used and had no problems ... so many thanks again, the tip was worth its weight in gold. I have the tapes before even playing through 1x on leave, had read that the synonymous brings something :-)
