Why do you the XM1 and XM2 not? 16:9, the two are not (ie my real 16:9) - just fake.

No, for 16:9, the XM1 is really not ideal. You can even some newer mini camcorder better.
In the price-performance range of XM1 I know do not fit 16:9 - DV camcorder. Since you have a willy-nilly or SonyFX1 take on the Canon A1 wait - even if you just want to film in DV.
