Infoseite // Capture Device Offline

Hello,

I have the following problem.

For some years I actually worked flawlessly with my SonyDCR-PC6E PAL and Premiere. I play a video via Firewire and I then edit.

So far so good. Now, however, is at once a "capture device offline" in the capture window. Cables are all off. Camera is turned on. But they simply do not recognize my PC and I can import anything.

Can someone help me there?

Do you have any changes s.Deinem PC (Windows Update, made program installations, etc.)?

yes I have. what to do about it s.besten?

drivers are certainly still there. in my device manager is my sony dv camcorder displayed. (though not in the workplace)

2. Wackelkontakt s.4-pol. Firewire times
-> No.
3. Virus scanner (or other program) running in the background
-> Not synonymous funzt, if I turn off
4. The hard drive is highly fragmented
-> Used a großegenuge external hard drives
5. Not enough free space on the hard drive
-> So
6. Unsuitable Capture Software
-> Adobe Premiere Pro is suitable and has indeed already gefunzt
7. Conflict of Firewire card with other PC components
-> Do not know which. 'm not really a new component
8. DirectX version is not currently
-> Is currently
9. Firewire cable defective
-> No, still have another try
10. DV port s.Camcorders broken
-> No, funzt s.einem other pc properly
11. OHCI FireWire card is not capable of
-> It was at least so far.
12. Misc.
-> Yes. but what??

it has done to work again.

While I do not know s.was it was, but I've done the following:
I have a Windows Update installation of running CD. Then we went again, but got other things to reconfigure bit, but it is now running again.

The next Oscar Nothing stands in the path. :-)

I would like to come back out, since such a case, that suddenly after installing something else stops working, it can always happen again. And not always the fix is so simple and fast as possible in the case described.

My tip to create: Image, which can be replayed if necessary. - I used to think something I would not need to. But since I work with images, I had not a single "installation Sunday" more. ;-)
