Infoseite // Capturing and processing only with the same editing program?

Good day,

I had the Firewire with problems, I would like to import the video with the included software MotionDV studio for my NV-GS280. Later, edit with a better editing program.
But I read in the forum already know that there are problems, if not the top of s.with the same program is working.
Is this typical or rare?

In general, there really is no problem as long as you record your recording in DV-Aviformat. If you really have Firewire problems should, however, any capture software works equally bad (or not at all), so there would undoubtedly be better to get the right firewire on track.

So "problems" can be given already, depending on what you capture and edit later ... I once had problems between premiere and avid xpress .. Although it went, but all the files have been adjusted again / converted and it took me a long time and just very very annoying:)

therefore better scho isses when you can use your average program synonymous to capture ..

various firewire problems have been discussed here several times already .. already tried a few things like this?

I have to capture the use xp's own capture tool and die sachen easily weiterverabeitet in different tools. But you need nothing of the accompanying CDs.

Unfortunately, I have never gepatscht need only look at me, how to do it.

Problems arise because because there are two types of DV AVI is. Now, if a program capturet the DV-AVI Type 1 and the other only with DV-AVI Type 2 operates, then it would not work without intermediate conversion. However, it remains within a DV-AVI type, then there is no problem. Simply trying times with a scene!
