Today a DVD in his hand pressed with a given uncompressed Videofile. The whole MC was s.einem of captured DV. Because my fellow not had time to render, he has just the raw file to DVD. Thus I can now start but nothing. When I try the file in Premiere to import, I get the message "File format not supported". Is there a possibility but still the file to import, or the file must first be rendered.
We are in sachen the total video editing beginners. I do not understand why our Prof us to simply throws cold water without first at least to give an introduction.

A MC is usually an Avid Media Composer. Or is here with "MC" as "Mac" mean?
If you capturt DV, you have DV. Do you feel the raw data or an already made rough? Has anything ever synonymous as DV or uncompressed actually spent? What File do you have? A project file? This ominous, uncompressed file?

If it was captured with Avid and you now have a OMF file searched, Premiere can
not do anything with it. He should only rausrendern.

So MC = Mac.
It is not the project file, but the file that was created during capture. Unfortunately, the file has no file extension. otherwise I would have followed ever gegoogelt.

G-Spot tells me that it is as a Quicktime container format:
File Type: Quicktime (.MOV / QT)
Mime Type: video / quicktime
Did you just look at the file ending in. Mov amended
Unfortunately it spits me the following error message:
Rendering failed. Following is the error reported by DirectShow.
0x80040265: Can not play back the file. The format is not supported.

Have recently been a few times which was read, the MOV files from Mac to PC nicnt can be read.
One has to wait times irgenwer whether similar experiences.

So QuickTime is installed (but not the Pro version).
One of my professors (not, of the task comes ;-)) said that we probably only the data or something is burned, when the header information would be missing. He said I should file in Premiere with Open As ... open so as to be able to manual to specify what format it is. However, I think in the Premiere Pro 2 Trial I use any menu item "Open As ..."
Were there any entry in these older versions of Premiere or is there another tool that gives me this possibility?
