Infoseite // Cinemascope is not properly displayed at 4:3 Television

Frage von corinna:

Hello,

My source material is in the Cinema mode of the HDR FX1e recorded. (ie CinemaScope, right?) When I burn it to DVD, in PAL quality (mpeg2) (I'm working with FinalCut Studio), the movie is me s.16: 9 screen display correctly, ie with black bars, p.4: 3 Television is where I see the whole picture without black bars. Actually, the bars should be 4:3 but then bigger?
I want each instance to the cinema format retained ... (no sites outside of the image cropped or distorted.)
How can I fix it?

Thanks, Corinna

Antwort von Udo Schröer:

First, the FX 1 Cinemascope but no Cineframe! Cinemascope would be a format of 1: 2.35

So you can record in 16:9 HDV or DV quality. The black bars are not created, but the Picture anamorph stored.

So if you are in your 16:9 DV video on a DVD must have brought you tell your DVD player (menu) what kind of TV you use 4:3 or 16:9. Otherwise, the proportions misrepresented. Black bars arise only when letterbox and that is not true 16:9

So: On a 16:9 TV, no black bars exist.

ok, so then cineframe. I would just format it on my 4:3 television get down and that I have black bars above and have in the middle of the picture is not distorted or cropped. It must be possible but that I not only in the menu of the DVD player set to? If I make a DVD from the video look, so I must be synonymous not only change, no preference whether I Pulp Fiction or the Love Parade video.

cineframe to 25, now what does that mean exactly? simulated 25p mode. what exactly can I imagine such?
Why is not a correct 16:9 letterbox?

add above and below your video editing program in the black bar at the airport one. -> Then haste is always the black bar. (without an "off" it will probably not go. unless you resize the image smaller, then haste synonymous black bars left and right. not bad, huh?)

a true 16:9 shows you no black bars, of course, only with a 16:9 TV set. what good is synonymous! wär voluntarily wants to have black bars?

The letterbox is unfortunately a necessity film formats (the idr NOT be 4:3) on a conventional TV set (4:3) to be able to play without the movie information (on the right and left) is lost.

.. but it has been correct 16:9 source material! Inserting black bar is superfluous.

Shutter to 25 by ... is 24 f / sec (film) like a shutter = 50 More is not ... typical buzzword.

Therefore, I would not head first, because it does not solve your problem. It sits with security in the DVD creation, not in the starting material and is not synonymous in the DVD player (if Purchase DVD is played correctly).

I know your software can not, but the problem I had been synonymous in another program. Review after the project settings (16:9, Pixel Aspect Ratio 1:1,3333, HDV 1080i) that all software should have. Maybe somewhere something to DV 4:3 set.

See synonymous

hi Andreas,

I work with Final Cut Studio 2 My camera setting in which I have rotated is Cineframe25. In Final Cut is the default audio and video to 1080i50. The sequence settings: Image 1440mal1080 HD 16:9.
I now export the clip in mpeg2 via compressor and then into dvd studio pro and burn it to DVD, stretches the 4:3 picture on the television to the top and bottom, so compressed.
What exactly do I need to adjust to the 16:9 picture on the television to receive?
thank you ....
