I would like to know what audio / video codecs to encode should use open source or Purchase?

Also I do not understand why DivX an open-source codec and a codec Purchase offers to both work so different?

I would like to have clarified in advance in order not unötig to ruin my system.

You confuse open source (ie, programs whose source code EXPOSED - more please read on Wikipedia) with free software - which may, but shall not be open source - and in the case of DivX, it's not synonymous.

The purchase version of DivX has a few more controls. Otherwise, you can well synonymous with the free DivX version work.

Otherwise, with the purchase of Premiere as the rest of the codecs required (can be), but you think with the codec pack installed, the only superpower in coming times.

The free Divx codec is synonymous here.
All pure profit making. Not purely drauf traps.
AC 3 codec is still interesting to get to but synonymous sonst

DivX and Microsoft are competitors - Microsoft has developed Winbugs Media, DivX DivX. The original version of DivX was a hacked Microsoft MPEG-4 codec.

The source of Lame's quite legally free, ready-LAME-Programs, a search engine of your trust. Because Lame is the tricky thing: The program itself has nothing more with the original MP3 implementations to do. Because it creates an MP3, at least the commercial use in the software or the distribution of so-produced MP3 Music license. Private users can wurst - but for this reason there are no official downloads of the Lame encoder.

** Yes absolutely. However, I have still the original codec from the Fraunhofer Institute 1998 I had bought, which still runs in my system and really has not changed codec s.MP3 I suppose.
