Frage von Nicole:Hello together
I have several. Mov files that I would really like in MPG or AVI format. Converter for I have found, but they can not read the files. Even QuickTime can not open the files, with the ground that it was not a file, I see the Quick Time. That surprises me greatly, because we are dealing with QuickTime movies. I assume that there is a codec problem. With the tsunami package, I've tried it already. Has anyone another idea what it could be or where I could download a good codec collection?
Thank you for your help.
Best regards
Nicole

Hmmm ... What GSpot gently to the movies? Could it be that the files are broken? Since they can not even read Quicktime.
Antwort von GhostDog:
Gspot says it is not a valid AVI file (yes is synonymous a mov file). And next says that the type was unknown. Moreover, he can not render what is always synonymous (rendering failed). Could it be that I am wrong, the software makes use?
Antwort von Janzomaster:
My Gsport reveals with Quicktime movies in that there are Quicktime movies, so do not say I render - unknown to them synonymous.
Source from which you have the things?
Antwort von Nicole:
The films I did not have beneficiary of wireless cameras to a VCR (a Chinese product - the Manufacturer knows himself at the moment synonymous next broadcast) and of then stored directly on the laptop. With the VCR, I got a software with which I can see the files synonymous (are therefore) not broken. I would like to reuse the files, however, and indeed with Dartfish Team Pro (software for analysis of shooting). To the movies in MPG or AVI format must be present.
Antwort von Strahlemann:
Do you have the aforementioned synonymous Player installed on your calculator on which you want to process the files (with the player is likely synonymous necessary codec) have been installed??
Antwort von Nicole:
The Player is installed on the calculator on which the files are stored. At the same synonymous Calculator I have tried to play the files with the Quick Time Player. Then I installed GSpot synonymous, tsunami. So is all there ... Is there a way to find out the codec used to the player?
Antwort von Nicole:
Meanwhile, I've found that the files are not real MOV files, but simply data files and some selected MOV is an arbitrary extension. How can I determine what files are for this?
Antwort von Nicole:
Apparently you are as perplexed as I am. Or has someone an idea?

Your description I'd bet on a special format, which can be used only in conjunction with the software supplied. Is it possible with this software, export the files to another format?
If not, would fall to me only the following: Play through the supplied software, filming the Screen and Capture the recording via firewire as DV-AVI ... : - /
