Frage von hs1972:Hello,
I wanted to ask whether times are a useful codec to capture and archiving of material of SD BetaSP recommend.
I capture of Beta SP with a Black Magic card into Final Cut and save for the Project in a single 10bit uncompressed, which is synonymous to a single tape is no problem.
Soon, however, I must be about 30 tapes capture, also is expected about 3 months later to the whole material ran for something new to cut.
In accordance with Recommendation would be a nice, in which codec the material to the highest possible quality and yet retain a meaningful and storable data comes.
I have something by the various contributions is clicked, the AVC-Intra codec is highly recommended, but is intended only for HD, as well as in Final Cut is only a decoder included. Is there was similar for the use with SD? (AVC-Intra is probably H264 exclusively with I-frames) Also, the Apple ProRes 422 is probably only for HD (if I correctly read the whitepaper)
I'm sure anyone here has ever had a similar problem and experience about what is in practice really worth -
Thanks, Alex
