Also in HDV area's problems - the Canon frame-mode might not be compatible with Sony, which play back on the Sony device does not appear to be skin out.

So I play the material of the XL-H1 always with a SonyMAZ M25 in Final Cut Pro and have no problem. Even the playing of the tape with a HC1 or Z1 is no problem. 've Recently even the material times a XL-H1 with a Z1 via firewire on the M25 a backup copy was made.
The recordings in the 25f mode of Sonyabgespielt be but rather the problem of Canon, because they likely to be a real MPEG stream with 25 frames and not the writing frames in a 50i stream MPEG nest as it was Sony power.

Yes 25 f is not exactly like the 4 channel MPEG 2 sound of the XL H 1
I'm curious whether the times the Sony's 25 P mode of the new HV 20 can read the camera is almost here ....

Canon says yes in April - plenty of time then yes, they have no more .....
Jamjam'm really excited about the Camera, 25 P, manual Tonausteuerung, zebra, headphone jack, 3.5 mm microphone jack etc so now there really is not in any HDV 1200 ¬ .....
