Infoseite // Converter of Component (YPbPr) to S-Video?

Frage von ZDragon:

Hi,
I would like a YPbPr signal to S-Video format. S-Video has a Y-channel as YPbPr synonymous, but how can I Pb + Pr convert so that a real chroma-channel (or S-video) it is? Is that even possible?

I have previously ever done something clever, such as here:
http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/S-video

There are other things synonymous with this drawing: http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Picture:S-video-composite-adapter.svg

If Pr = Pb + chroma, then yes you could add a similar link (here, Y + C = Composite) via capacitor between Pb and Pr and thus make chroma channel from the two color component manufacture. I am afraid now just hold that this is not so: P So I will prefer to ask here. And of course, synonymous when it should have other ideas and so.

The background is that I've Mayflash adapter to the 480p signal (YPbPr) my Nintendo Wii on my PC LCD monitor (VGA) to see. The adapter does not support the conversion of interlaced video and then my screen will be black. "Proper" Converter XRGB like me are too expensive, so I just wanted the YPbPr cable and adapter s.den Mayflash terminals as synonymous via YPbPr-> S-video adapter card to connect s.meine TV. When a 480i/576i-Signal comes (as with all Virtual Console and Gamecube games, but some synonymous Wii games such as Kororinpa), I'd like without cable must be changed to Picture on the TV card instead of getting directly via VGA on the monitor.

That is possible, but not as easy as depicted with the Y / C-composite adapter.

Composite and Y / C have in common that the chrominance in the same way is modulated, only that it is in a case separately and combined in the other case is transferred.

Want to leave, however, from the PbPr share a component signal Chromasignal produce, then the two color quadraturmoduliert are interrelated. Thus, the synonymous in the Beschreibung bei Wikipedia.

Ein Gerät, um Komponente in Y/C oder umgekehrt zu wandeln, wäre der Canopus ADVC-500, which is currently 1349 ¬ with a bit (!) Is expensive for your application.

How about an alternative with a KVM switch?

What does a KVM switch please because with the matter to be done? Oo I do not understand.

The expensive device that you are pointing also supports "only" the conversion of YUV in Y + Chroma. The warrior I with a simple Kodnensator synonymous out a square modulation ... Finally, it brings a phase shift of 90 degrees, right? That's it already.

A bigger problem is but ... how do I convert PbPr to UV? Because YPbPr is something other than YUV ...

Your request was to provide a monitor for two different applications that require a changed, to be able to use, but without that annoying changed. As I have just seen, however, is that even with a switch not because of Mayflash adapter for your Nintendo Wii only interlace video output and the VGA port on a monitor only progressive image sequences (; p.60 Hz?) Accepted.

Then you have an alternative path and you will now with the basics of video technology apart, to a suitable signal to generate. - Only recently I read in Wikipedia all possible topics in the article linked component video. Ta and a synonymous times you will see how the color PbPr with U and V and the chroma of S-video related.

Whether the conversion of Canopus YUV or not really but YPbPr to S-Video and composite converts, I can not answer you. YUV is often synonymous halt since used where actually YPbPr should stand ...

Hello,

My video camera has only DV - Out (Video + Audio), Firewire and Component-out. I would now like to turn the camera on the Componennten output with an S-Video input of a studio-connect box.
Is there a suitable cable or converter?
