Frage von Hanzl:Is there something similar to TBC for DV and analog domain? I have a mini DV tape (JVC) was not quite s.Anfang 3min. severe disturbances of the kind that whole blocks of rows are shifted horizontally to each other (no error) when Rotate. Who Knows when correction options? After the tape is ok, but even the timecode jumps several times to zero. A subsequent rotated DV tape is synonymous ok. Do not look, therefore, after an error from camera (JVC GR can completely rule 3000) but it certainly is not synonymous. After I am almost 15 years at S-VHS and Hi 8 on recording errors have been angry, it seems to be synonymous with DV not much better. Debt is of course always the other, at the same Tape and Camera Manufacturer Of course the camera, if there is no longer a guarantee. I am now beginning to believe that the technology of interaction tape - Camera can not be controlled and is therefore crap.

Hello,
You have already made more bad experiences with digital video? Or was it when writing your previous post, the frustration is still fresh?
I think the magnetic technology is one of the most reliable of our time, especially since they could mature over many decades. As far as it will never get the DVD, the successor technology (Bluray, HD-DVD) are waiting in the wings. Many professionals archived therefore remains to DV tape or adequate professional formats.
But now to your questions: a TBC to stabilize unclean signals when there is DV, since it is dealing with DV digital data. The run after reading in the tape drive error correction, which very roughly considered the functional equivalent of the analog-TBC. Only better / more effective.
If the error of your camcorder, the picture can not fully recover and play synonymous repeated attempts fail to fruit, it is very likely something went wrong with the recording. What could have been exactly (camcorders, cassette, ...?), remains on the distant speculation.
When your camera is the last time has been properly cleaned?

Hello Mark
Thanks for the reply. Surely my frustration is great, because they are scenes from Cuba. I use computer a little over 3 years (Holiday movies and occasionally family). Blocky mistakes every now and usually only 1-2 pictures, and occurred 1 to 5 times per tape, that's when cutting is usually not a problem (5Bilder a row, I've only once had, that is, of course), even unpleasant. From the repeated playing here, the errors are always the same (at Analog was not the way). In view of the last 3min. I think with a shudder only error that I have saved all of my digital and analog computer films after cutting as avi to DV tape and made only sampled have (including DVD finaler I see my films during post-production so completely to the 10 times and more).
Compared to the duration of troubles with the analogue with drop outs, it is on DV already a lot better but in truly reliable, I do understand something else. On the tape, technology alone does not appear is because it is so reliable in the EDP. From my finished shooting, I have burned 25 DVD () very high data rate, which I have of course fully considered and found not a single error. Even if you read the forum completely kontre DV tapes opinions about the same type, which is thought of. My camera is currently in check but remember my experience with analog, I expect them not too much.
Greetings Of Love
Ludwig

The fact that a consumer DV camcorder format is contemporary and very inexpensive, is in this view tend to overlook. There is no Hinterbandkontrolle still MiniDV tapes cost 20 ¬ apiece. The fact that there are obviously limitations to be somewhere is actually clear.
The thing with the video tapes (Marks) is partly a question of faith, partly justify the sometimes widely divergent opinions on individual experiences of individual videographers. Synonymous Maybe you'll find out eventually that your camcorder (to which brand / model is really going on?) Synonymous certain tapes are preferred.
