You need to put it simply a fast hard disk system and an extremely fast CPU. The performance requirements are depends entirely on the RED format is used and what demands are made s.The preview.
When I'm on the preview kompromisbereit, I can even edit on my laptop with 2x2, 8 GHz, the R3D files (; easy 12-bit and 4k). The preview is relatively small and it just does not run with the full refresh rate.
