Firewire can be obtained from notebooks normalhin on Cards (CardBus / Express Card) retrofit. That is what I have on my Acer 5930g made synonymous. My 6 years old MiniDV camcorder (SonyDCR-PC101E) has no problem with Vista to communicate.

Thanks for the prompt reply. It is, however, that the Camera s.meinem "old" calculator on Win ME to XP as synonymous easily via a USB cable is gone, there was never a problem! The USB drivers on the CD was just synonymous easy to install - and exactly this is missing in VISTA. Sorry, that's why I do not understand why any of this to me now Firewire cable offered wants - especially since my DCR-TRV245E no Firewire connector (or am I mistaken?)

Your Cam does have Firewire. And much (for example, drivers for very old machines) on the ME or XP still worked, it's just not on Vista.
Get a PC Card - FireWire adapter "and a Firewire cable or test the Cam s.einem PC / laptop with Vista and Firewire. With Firewire, I see a good chance it is because it requires no drivers.

You deceive yourself. Each mini-DV camcorder has a FireWire output. The least operates the transfer with USB, but then if mostly in lower resolution.

Thanks for the tip's - I will be me, then such a firewire adapter cable, along with care. Can I take this opportunity maybe someone has a video editing software recommend though is user-friendly but still has more to offer than MOVIE MAKER?
