Hello!
My parents do not have a PC, but are of my MiniDV so excited that she is synonymous to a growth.
Now the PC does not "just" a DVD recorder. What can I do that because s.besten recommend, I know with me, unfortunately only from MiniDV.
The hard drive with or MiniDVD will still be not so great I've heard .. And what with produce from DVD without a PC.
I can now only one that I care where a MiniDV and I will always capture the tapes and make a DVD of it .. but it is working to stop somewhere, I gladly would like to save ..

gruß cj Well, DVD camcorders have a "strange" format and allow only the very common play of MiniDVD on selected players. In the Calculator go mostly only major expense. All in all empfhielt a computer system still in place. In the above case, I have a DV camera with Firewire and DVD Recorder with same choice for the best hold.

Juergen So according to your description of the exchange would be possible via firewire. Then would I use a DV camera with firewire output and use.
Synonymous for safety's sake read the manual again after that on the Firewire port of the recorder is synonymous to an input acts.
DVD RW are basically similar to RAMs. Also, the size is identical. Both can be used for recording. However, the possibility to play RW on other players, where more often.

I use more often synonymous RAMs. But as I said, if you get the finished video on a different DVD player want to run, a standard DVD is more suitable. RAMs, I would only use the archive.
I would recommend the following workflow.
With DV Camera record. As required via firewire on the DVD recorder to play on. Delete unnecessary scenes or do not play. After the film on standard DVD burn. Takeaway and friends / family to the finished film to show the DVD player .... and then of course still on the movies look great :-)

Yes, this is almost - the recorder has no hard drive!
So .. It must simply be careful when shooting - s.tape is what is used for DVD and ready.
If times really rough beside it, I still think Core2Quad ;-)
