Frage von fromser:Hello,
I did under XP (SP2) and the Canopus DV - synonymous as the Panasonic DV codec installed. After reboot, both under the "Video Codecs" and displayed as a "functioning" classified.
In Premiere 6.5, I would like to export DV movie, unfortunately, just because I find the Microsoft DV codec - the other two codecs are not displayed.
Why is that? What is the qualitative difference between the Microsoft DV codec and the other two?
Thanks in advance!
Antwort von Gast1:
The Panasonic is identical with the Microsoft. Simplified: The Canopus shows a wider range of black and white as the Pana / MS.
If you want to use the Canopus you should know the whole "production chain" it up, so already in "Canopus" Capture (goes with Scenalyzer), PP Canopus to recruit, etc.
However, you must in most cases long until you see a difference between Pana / MS and Canopus see. Is synonymous partly a question of faith. "
Incidentally there is not a solo Canopus codec to buy, how did you installed since then?

Ohh, that sounds interesting. I always thought Microsoft would be the lowest-quality codec.
Incidentally there is not a solo Canopus codec to buy, how did you installed since then? From www.free-codecs.com .. I was a grad nochmal on the Page and've read that the codec is only for PLAY, not to save and import .. So next, I must take the MS ..
Or have you another tip? Perhaps the MainConcept?
