Infoseite // DV on PC - What am I doing wrong?

Hi, folks!

I'm completely ignorant when it comes to the issue of digital camera, so far I hope you will forgive my probably not very professional issues.

I have here a SonyDCR-VX1000E and wants to transfer a recording on a mini-DV to PC (XP SP2). After I've done something clever here, I tried it with WinDV capture and a Firewire cable. The camera was recognized by the program as "Microsoft DV Camera and VCR" and was in the "Player" mode, and when I clicked on "Capture" in WinDV, it is synonymous went to play and WinDV has (apparently included). However, the resulting files are only a few KB big and can be played with any media player.

What am I doing wrong? Is there s.der Camera or WinDV in certain settings that need to be made? Do I need a DV codec?

After I brought ScLive sends the message "Drivers of PAL images as NTSC or NTSC and PAL. Maybe DirectX should be updated," I have done this. All at once a file is recorded, but totally pixelated and the error message as before.

Know when someone advice?

Clasp your camcorder once a trial basis s.einen another computer with Firewire interface s.and there trying to capture. Use this same Firewire cable and possibly even synonymous times another. This allows cable and camcorder excluded as the cause.
