Antwort von Markus:
Hello,
by the image quality, there are no differences between DV and DVCAM. Both feature the same format Resolutionauf and use the same color compression (4:2:0). The PD150 can be both, in any format of tape recording (can be set in the menu). The reason why contribute DVCAM recordings sometimes better than DV is that the smallest play DVCAM cameras in the consumer and luxury class, and also of course have better optics and sound unit than most of the (consumer) DV camcorder.
The shortened to DV recording time is related to the fact that traces of DVCAM describes each 15 microns (instead of 10 microns as DV) and thus is resistant against drop-outs. Especially in extreme temperatures that can come into play. This saves the sound linked to DVCAM Picture (locked audio), so that it can not come to a (theoretically possible with DV) asynchrony between the picture and sound.
