Frage von Florian10:I just got the raw material of a recorded in DVCam format of the film of our wedding photography is now Mini-DV tapes to dub. I've noticed that when playing on a mini-DV camera, the tape seems to run too fast (pictures) are divided into horizontal pieces and I hear no sound. Is it in principle, possible that such recorded tapes to play mini-DV cameras (on which)?
Thank you very much!

Hello Florian,
DVCAM MiniDV usdurch differentiates itself of the track width, which DVCAM recordings run faster. Synonymous because you can record to MiniDV tapes in DVCAM mode, I suspect, the cameraman has given you quite simply the wrong format.
Ask him for a new copy, this time in DV mode. ;-)

I have now found that I can play the tapes at higher Mini-DV camcorders. No problems at Sony. For Panasonic teething problems are short (several seconds). (At lower of Canon camcorders have a try), displays only image fragments.
Could it be that s.ein tape only with certain (can not play higher-quality) cameras?
Thanks for the help

Could it be that s.ein tape only with certain (can not play higher-quality) cameras? Personally, I can confirm this, and therefore also represent this theory. I have noticed that once a long time ago when I digitize material via DVCAM MiniDV camcorder wanted, which does not initially work.
If I remember correctly, it was finally in my case a Canon XM1 and SonyVX2000 one that took place then synonymous DVCAM.

My TRV900 is recorded in the DVCAM format DVCAM - MiniDV tapes and also feherfrei again. That it is primarily the Sony devices that can play this format is natural, because ... Who invented it? ;-)

So it is not s.tape (typ) - rather s.aufgezeichneten format. You're probably on it and the better DVCAM DV camcorder can play the synonymous - if that is usually synonymous barely mentioned.
