Frage von DevelSweety:Hello,
hope I'm right here and you can help me.
Did the old Hi8 movies of my parents to let burn DVD's.
Now I would like the films so cut together, as I like to create title and comments show, photos with Embed ...
Now my problem:
The format on the DVD are (you know it already provides, for me it is new, there's never worked) VOB, BUP, IFO.
The Windows Movie Maker does not read. Only knows. Mpeg etc.
What do I do now s.besten? Is there an inexpensive software that I entered with the appropriate format to convert and back can? Or how are you doing this?

It is not the best idea, already compressed MPEG again to want to edit. Depending on the source material and what exactly you're doing, can lead to significant quality losses.
Is there an inexpensive software that I entered with the appropriate format to convert and back can? Try

Or how are you doing this? Where possible, the processing s.qualitativ high quality raw materials (low compression) to carry out, THEN compress (= according to MPEG2 file) and then as a "ready and will not be changed" look. In your case, but it would not be possible as the footage you apparently only have a DVD available.

Danke schon mal for the answer,
but can be. VOB's no longer edit?
There is no MPEG.
If it should go, what software do I need for this?

There is no MPEG. But, that's it.
You have the video material in a reasonable quality eindigitalisieren, then and only then edit the video, burn DVDs. A video DVD is a Verteilformat s.Ende chain, not an archive medium for original recordings.

but can be. VOB's no longer edit? But, VOB is MPEG2, but in a different packaging. This can edit, just with the above problems and - depending on the type of treatment - with loss of quality. The best way, it is not. But when it's no other way ....
Some software can edit the VOB directly, with the above you should Converter "normal" MPEG files get the example of the synonymous Movie Maker should be able to edit (without the warranty, please try it yourself, there are still many subtleties).

All right. Fortunately, as one of "historic" recordings,
that one is glad that they exist! Technical shortcomings as easily forgives you ..
Were on their way to DVD
AVI files are created? Who made the
has really should not be deleted, or? That would
then the files 1rster choice to continue editing!

Did the old Hi8 movies of my parents to let burn DVD's. I wonder something. Questions the providers of such services, because not even after what the customer with the digitized images want to make? That would be important to know ...
