Frage von AticAtac:Hello,
I try to connect a DVD player s.meinen Beamer (BENQ newer model with SVHS input). For this I use a 5-meter SVHS cable and appearing on the page of the DVD player I use an adapter to connect the SVHS cable via scart.
My problem is that the picture appears on the beamer black and white!
I conclude, however, is s.einen the cable television (on synonymous SVHS) then the picture in color.
Has anyone an idea how to rectify this problem?
Antwort von StefanS:
Could it be that you have told your TV, that it has to process an S-video signal to the projector but not yet?

Antwort von steveb:
Your television has an S / vhs input? But is hard to find ...
If you actually have it set to 1 then 1 on television, then StefanS is right. Then the projector is still missing, the setting: input = SVHS.

Antwort von AticAtac:
So the projector "scans" the sources auto (Video, S-video, computer, ...) and takes in S-video signal. It indicates that it is Pal / N.
Yes, my television has s.der Page one SVHS input.
Antwort von steveb:
hmmm ... then I would still refer to the setting options in the DVD player. But actually seems to determine the correct settings, no difference. Really makes no sense ...
To really be excluded in principle, I would recommend synonymous mundane items such as cable swap / exchange or adapter.
Antwort von Markus:
Hello,
PAL-N comes in Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay are used. In this country is PAL B / G widespread. Maybe you let the projector once of hand on this television standard?
Or where does your DVD player? ;-)
Antwort von AticAtac:
With the Pal / N is interesting.
I will try the beamer to convert Pal-B / G.
The DVD player I bought in Germany (Sony).
Thanks for the replies so far
I will be here reinschreiben obs helped what.
Antwort von AticAtac:
Sorry, but probably have SVHS and S-VIDEO confused!
I did not mean all the time S-Video (small round times) and SVHS!
Antwort von Markus:
SVHS S-Video will be happy with lumped together, so that did not fall on next. But should still be no problem, since DVD players usually have more than synonymous Y / C connections (= S-Video).
zum Bild What's the matter with the resulting television standard?
Antwort von AticAtac:
After some checking I discovered that the projector supports the S-video input NTSC only. Unfortunately ....
Antwort von AticAtac:
So I talked with BenQ support and who felt that the Projector (MP620) probably understands all PAL (+ NTSC, SECAM) format sS-Video input.
I have again tested the whole thing:
Picture OK:
DVD Players -> Scart> S / Video Adap. -> (5-meter S-Video cable) -> TV
Picture only black and white
DVD Players -> Scart> S / Video Adap. -> (5-meter S-Video cable) -> Projector
Now I'm really baffled.
Is the cable (5 meters) too long? Case, yes, why it works on the Television?
Antwort von steveb:
no, with 5 meter cable is not too long. Have with me a used 25 meter cable and picture is ok.
Attempt dochmal a completely different play-variant. So different player, different cable, if possible, a device which prints directly through svideo. By doing this you schonmal separates the hardware defect from the projector, if it is then displayed in color.
