Frage von b0kaJ:Ahoy!
Currently have a problem: acquaintance who has trimmed down and burned onto a clip as a DV PAL AVI to DVD. This file (3.8 Gb), I now can not open it. The Explorer spits out the following message:
"PiPaPo can not copy: The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable" Damage is not the DVD, have tried it several times already, and burns other stuff / he reads smoothly.
So far, so bad. Here are a few unpleasant side information: clip was fired with MAC OSX and exported earlier with FinalCutPro. Whereas I have WinXP and an NTFS disk.
Now my questions: Is there hope? Or does WinXP general problems with files> 3GB? Is there a trick? And why we have not come to Italy in penalty shootout?
Thanks and mfg, Jacob edit: / because the exact size indeed plays an important role 3.649.622b
Antwort von Stefan:
In principle, there should be no problems with MAC OSX written to read data DVDs on Windows XP.
The file size of 3.6 GB is OK. And the Mac burns default with the UDF format which is readable under XP.
I can only imagine that Windows XP in order to preview, etc. trying to interpret the AVI file to DV codec and s.dem fails.
Whether that's true, you can test it with other data on the DVD. If necessary, rename the file., Burn, copy and rename.
Good luck
