can anyone tell me if I have a project that was created in DVD Studio 3 in the new version of DVD can continue editing studio 4?

Hello,
usually the follow-up version of software is backward compatible, ie you can open older files synonymous with the new software will be processed and stored. In general, the newly saved project files can then no longer with the previous version of the software to open.

Mine is synonymous known backward compatibility, but I wanted to play it safe, so I did not spoil my project. That would be still a great pity. But if it all goes, then everything's okay. :-)

stop, stop, back! I quoted a general rule, do not accurately describe the behavior of such a software. If you want to play it safe copy, save your project file, a current image of your system disk (c:), play the new software and check the compatibility.
If something does not work, you can replay the image and everything is back as before ...
PS: Why do you want to accomplish the midst of a project, a software change? (This one does not do).
