Have a Hitachi DVD camcorder but unfortunately no software for it and have connected the camcorder via a TV card s.den PC. I record the movie but unfortunately without sound. (DV and S-video port are available) How do I get the sound? Who can help?

Sound can be recorded in this case only on the sound card.
Another (and much better) option would be to connect via firewire, if you have designated with a DV output DV. This is always synonymous with favoring the way because Digital and usually without loss ..... and sound is synonymous with in there :-)

The picture comes on Video - In the PC, the sound from the microphone input or line-in. ie you need to bring about the breakout cable with an adapter on the sound as Micro. At DV = Firewire sound is already there.

DV and S-video port are available whether the device actually has a DV output, we will be able to answer only the question of adjusting the end .... I had understood his remarks, however. I spoke synonymous of "and could be" ... :-)
