Use DVDxDV moment at which I have in the settings under "Video Output Size" "Same s.DVD" selected.
Nevertheless, the gecapturte 16:9 material is squeezed into 4:3 Import afternoon.

Yes, I have the same question, but still found no answer. Have you ever found out something how to use the Picture "gets equalized" at about IMport DVDxDV iMovie or FCE?

Hi All,
the only difference between 4:3 - and 16:9-recordings (both 720 × 576 pixels) is the pixel aspect ratio. This can be changed with some video editing programs by importing the distorted 4:3-recorded and then re-exported as 16:9. Depending on the software can still set an export such as "Recalculate be" necessary.
Ggf. synonymous helps a trick like this (export is faster and without anything to have):
