Hello,
I'm looking for a way to an excerpt of a DVD in one step in mpeg2 or 4 to convert.
Specifically, it: We are filming an event and accept the result with a DVD recorder on. For a presentation s.nächsten morning but I need only mention, not the entire recording. Since I am after (late) at the end of the event had no possibility, in the middle of the night after the end of the cut converting triggering, I am looking for a program that exactly this in a process makes.

the hardware solution:
grab a second DVD recorder and take the only parallel to speak on an extra dvd. depending on what connections the recorders have mögich it should be, what one spends on another recorder again. or it splits the incoming signals and uses merere recorders. everything should somehow be possible.

Hello Philipp,
I assume that you're in position with the video software that self-DVD backup. If the software does not import VOB files can try the following:
Copy the entire contents of the DVD on your calculator. Replace the files with the extension *. vob *. mpeg by
Import the MPEG files into your video software and cut the speech s.besten only with hard cuts. Set "smart render" one and export the movie as MPEG 2 (not as MPEG 4) It must export the MPEG settings exactly the same as the original file. In Magix VdL there is the possibility to export settings from the source to adapt (goes with one click on the button "From File" in the Export Settings).
Since the original format is already MPEG 2 (DVD standard), is then nothing more synonymous converted. Only the slices are processed, which is hard cuts but no appreciable time.
Did it with me always worked well ....

around the outpost to my thoughts, I sit there was haggard, software:
mpeg streamclip download and then open dvd, because you can then cut a trim co. and then simply save it, there are no problems, because you're as synonymous nix encode them.

Super, thank you, did not know that simply renaming the file last. The recorder gives me holding a normal DVD structure, so can I so easily. Vob files. Werd then try it. Thank you!
